• When we consider the significance of the Customs section or department and its role at SEEPZ-SEZ given its export-oriented nature, the Customs section has a significant role in any land or seaport as there are certain rules and regulations governing the imports/ exports of the country and we are the prime agency enforcing these laws.
• However, at SEEPZ-SEZ, we play the role of a facilitator rather than a regulator, implementing the SEZ Act and the SEZ rules in letter and spirit.
